We are looking for Climate Data Specialists with advanced degrees to develop complex, real world problems in climate modelling, ecology, and sustainability problems that train the next generation of AI models to reason like a scientist.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to apply their knowledge beyond the lab. No AI background needed your scientific expertise is what matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, solve, and critically review advanced environmental science problems with genuine real world relevance
  • Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to craft complex, rigorous problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and methodological soundness
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of AI scientific reasoning
  • Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and intellectual depth across every deliverable
  • Work independently on task based assignments fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Holds a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field
  • Strong working knowledge of climate modeling, ecological systems, or sustainability science
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling
  • Exceptionally clear written communicator you can explain complex science precisely and accessibly
  • Detail oriented and methodical, with high standards for scientific accuracy
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Background in computational modeling, remote sensing, or environmental data analysis
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary research spanning climate, ecology, and policy
  • Experience reviewing or editing scientific content for accuracy and rigor
